 Born 1936-03-21 in Niagara Falls, NY, but moved in 1947 to Toronto, where she lives. Married Toronto, 1957-08-10. Teacher--Babs: 'I taught in the separate [i.e., Catholic] schools. I was one of the first people to have a junior kindergarten for four year olds. It was designed to help the children from other countries to speak English by the time they were in kindergarten. I also taught grades one and two, and I taught children with special needs for a few years. I went to Toronto teachers college, 1955-56.'
