Born Rhys Williams, 1865-10-20. Died 1955-01-29. Became Lord Williams when he was made First Baronet of Miskin, 1918-06.

Married 1921-02-24. Pauline Rowe: 'They added Rhys to their name in 1938.' Lived in Miskin Manor in the village of Miskin in Rhondda Cynon Taf, south Wales.

From Wikipedia: 'In the First World War he served in the Welsh Guards, reaching the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. He saw active service, was wounded, was twice mentioned in despatches [sic] and won the DSO.'

Afterwards, he was an MP, 'later left the Liberal Party for the Conservatives.'
