Q:Who are The Famous Five?

A: Emily Murphy, Irene Parlby, Nellie McClung, Louise McKinney and Henrietta Edwards,. There's are several statues of them in Winnipeg and on Parliament Hill (which is pictured on the back of the $50 bill).

Q: Why are they famous?

A: In 1928, they secured the vote for Canadian women.
