fallow time

i'm feeling technologically and personally out of sorts, like nothing makes sense. i think this brain op has bitten off more than i can chew. i feel like i should go back to basics, before web2.0, before html4.0, before apps and dbs and server-side scripting, back to ascii files.

it's winter and i'm in the snow belt. maybe i should lie fallow until the earth warms up...
